2005 UNDER 18 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
2007 CANADA WINTER GAMES

The Ontario Women's Hockey Association’s is currently planning for two national events, an Under-18 National Championship (November 9-13, 2005) and the 2007 Canada Winter Games (March 4-10, 2007). The OWHA player evaluation/selection process for each event will begin this summer.

Preliminary camps for the Under-18 National Championship will take place this summer (August 12^th-14^th & September 9^th-11^th). Eligible OWHA players, who feel they have the necessary skills, values and commitment, are encouraged to apply for participation in the process.

It is important for players and parents to read, understand and ensure compliance with the complete player eligibility requirements prior to applying.

Under 18 National Championship – November 9-13, 2005

Salmon Arm, British Columbia

Eligible Players:  OWHA registered Players born in 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991

2007 Canada Winter Games – March 4-10, 2007

Whitehorse, Yukon

Eligible Players:  OWHA registered Players born in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992

Players must be Canadian citizens

Application forms are attached and are available on the OWHA web site at www.owha.on.ca. Please read the forms thoroughly for additional eligibility and program information.

• ELIGIBLE PLAYERS BORN IN 1988 may ONLY apply for the Under-18 National Championship  and must submit APPLICATION “A”
   
• ELIGIBLE PLAYERS BORN IN 1989, 1990 & 1991 inclusive may apply for the selection process for both events by submitting BOTH APPLICATION “A” and APPLICATION “B” Important Note: Players interested in both events will only attend ONE “preliminary” camp. Players will be evaluated at these camps to determine if they qualify to advance in the selection process for either or both events. This will save the player the cost of attending two preliminary camps.
   
• ELIGIBLE PLAYERS BORN IN 1989, 1990 & 1991, who wish to apply for the Canada Winter Games Team only, are asked to submit APPLICATION “B”. If qualified, the player will be invited to attend a preliminary camp this winter or spring.
   
• ELIGIBLE PLAYERS BORN IN 1992 are eligible for the 2007 Canada Winter Games team only and are asked to submit APPLICATION “B”. Players born in 1992 are NOT eligible to attend the August and September 2005 camps but may be invited to a later, Preliminary Canada Winter Games Camp.
