Welcome to the 2011 -2012 hockey season. Last season Angela James and Cammi Granato were the first women to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, with Angela James coming through the OWHA as a player, coach and referee. Her accomplishments include multiple league, provincial, national, international and world championships as well as receiving many MVP and individual awards.

 OUA AND HAMILTON BULLDOGS PARTNER FOR OUA OUTDOOR CLASSIC
Ontario University Athletics (OUA), in partnership with the Hamilton Bulldogs, is pleased to announce the inaugural OUA Outdoor Classic, featuring two games to be played as part of the 2012 AHL
Ivor Wynne Stadium will play host to the Waterloo Warriors as they take on the Brock Badgers on Sunday, January 22 at 1 p.m. OUA women’s hockey will also be showcased as the UOIT Ridgebacks host the Brock Badgers to kick off OUA Outdoor Classic action on Thursday, January 19 at 3 p.m.
UOIT Ridgebacks vs. Brock Badgers - game time is 3 .pm. January 19th - admission is free.

Please be advised that benefits of membership within the Ontario Women's Hockey Association include insurance coverage as outlined in the Hockey Canada booklet "Safety Requires Teamwork", located on our website under “Forms and Policies”. OWHA members are covered ONLY during Hockey Canada / OWHA sanctioned events (league games, tournaments, practices, training camps, sanctioned fundraisers) when playing member teams only. The OWHA has NOT sanctioned any tournaments in the months of June, July or August 2009. The OWHA does NOT support participation in non-sanctioned events. |
