The Ontario Women’s Hockey Association is pleased to announce the arrival of the Women’s Olympic Hockey Team of China.

Team China will centre their pre-Olympic training camp in the GTA area, with all of their practices taking place at The Sports Village in Vaughan.

Twenty-nine team members and staff arrived late last night. They will take to the ice for their first practice on Thursday, September 3rd at 11:00 am.

While in Ontario, Team China will play 21 games against Ontario Women’s Hockey Association Teams. The first game will be against Cambridge Fury of the PWHL (Provincial Women’s Hockey League) on Tuesday, September 8th at 5:30 pm at the Cambridge Ice Centre in the Cambridge Centre Mall. On Sunday, September 13th, Team China plays Mississauga Chiefs of the CWHL (Canadian Women’s Hockey League) with the game at The Sports Village in Vaughan at 6:30 pm.

Team China will also play Burlington Barracudas and Vaughan Flames of the CWHL, York University, the University of Toronto, Wilfred Laurier University, and the University of Waterloo of the OUA/CIS, Durham West Lightning, Markham-Stouffville Stars, Stoney Creek Sabres, Toronto Aeros,  Waterloo KW Ravens and Whitby Wolves of the PWHL. On October 10th and 11th, Team China will play Team Ontario Blue and Team Ontario Red respectively as the Ontario teams prepare for the U18 National Championship in Surrey, British Columbia.
