The NWHL, the
National Women’s Hockey League, home to the undisputed competitive
elite in women’s hockey is proud to announce that on Thursday
March 25th, at 10:00 am at the Hockey
Hall Of Fame in Toronto the NWHL
Championship Cup, and Championship MVP trophy will be accepted
for permanent display in the Hockey Hall Of Fame.
“This is where the NWHL Cup should rightfully
reside, in the Hockey Hall of Fame, beside the other great historic
accomplishments of hockey. The NWHL Championship trophy truly represents
the best-of-the-best in elite women’s hockey to these most
deserving women”,…. said Commissioner/President
of the NWHL, Mayor Susan Fennell.
Master of Ceremonies for the press conference is
Brampton resident, and CBC Sports personality Mr. Chris Cuthbert.
Many Canadian 2002 Olympic Gold Medal Players
will be in attendance, with several making statements during the
ceremony.
The NWHL
Championship is being hosted by The City
Brampton, and will be held at the Brampton
Centre for Sports and Entertainment.
On Saturday April 10th, 2004
at 12:00 pm, ET the NWHL Championship
game
will be broadcast LIVE, nationally, on CBC
Sports.
The 2004 NWHL
season signals the fifth straight year that the NWHL finals have
been broadcast LIVE on television.
