ONTARIO WOMEN’S HOCKEY ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS
THE CANADIAN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION
April 5, 2006
The Ontario Women's Hockey Association is pleased to announce a special addition to this year’s Provincial Championship. Thanks to the generous support of Pace Savings & Credit Union Ltd., and the Royal Canadian Mint, the OWHA will be supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation by raising awareness about the disease which affects thousands of Canadians annually. Every participant will receive a 25-cent coin featuring the symbolic pink ribbon and a specially designed coin collector card. Commemorative bookmarks from the Royal Canadian Mint will also be on sale at a number of the rinks Friday April 7th, Saturday April 8th and Sunday April 9th. For each bookmark sold, the Mint will make a $1 contribution to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
