TEAM CANADA CLAIMS SILVER AT 2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Apr. 17, 2023

The Canadian National Team falls short to USA 6-3 in Worlds Finals

It was another fierce battle of the border in the 2023 Women's Worlds Finals with a very fast back and forth between both teams. Canada took lead early on with powerplay goal from Captain Marie-Philip Poulin, to which the Americans responded quickly. After two periods and two goals from Oakville's own Brianne Jenner, the American's sealed their fate with 3 goals in the last 5 minutes.

This is Team Canada's 9th silver medal overall.

Canada will be looking to take back the title of World Champion next year at the 2024 Women's World Hockey Championship being hosted by the United States.

We want to thank all the teams, supporters, staff, and fans that made Worlds such an amazing event!
