It will be necessary for officials to have a current valid and current Vulnerable Sector Search on your profile in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) in order to register for a clinic.

Check your profile in the HCR to ensure that a Police Check is current and on file.

For terminology purposes, VSC and VSS are one and the same document.

Log into your Spordle Account, click on the "Member" tab from the left, find your profile and click on the "View Profile".

Below your name and Association, you will see if your Vulnerable Sector Search and Declaration document has been submitted and validated.

IF YOU REQUIRE A NEW VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK (VSC) DOCUMENT, PLEAES ENSURE THAT YOU START THE PROCESS TO REQUEST ONE ASAP.

ALL VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK DOCUMENTS, MUST BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE SCREENING SUBMISSION PORTAL TO BE VALIDATED.

PLEAES SEE THE DOCUMENTS BELOW FOR MORE INFORAMTION AND SUBMISSION DETAILS.

NOTE: Please do not email your documents or receipts to the OWHA as we cannot submit documents on your behalf.

How to Submit you VSC Document or Receipt through the Screening Submission Portal

Direct Link to the Ontario Screening Submission Portal

  • On-Ice Officials aged 17 and under are NOT required to provide a Police Record Check.  If you turn 18 during the season, it is your responsibility to obtain your VSC document and submit it though the Screening Submission Portal.
  • On-Ice Officials aged 18 years and over MUST provide a VSC / VSS document and complete the online declaration form via the Screening Submission Portal.
  • When requesting a VSC / VSS document, you may be required to provide a letter to your local police service. A copy of the VSC Screening Check Letter is available to you above.
  • If you have initiated the process of obtaining a VSC, please submit a copy of your receipt via the Screening Submission Portal.  This will be used to TEMPORARILY update your HCR profile until you can upload the official document.
  • If your HCR profile indicates your VSC expiry date is beyond the 2024 / 2025 season, you MUST go through the Screening Submission Portal to complete the online Declaration Form.

If you have questions pertaining to the Screening Submission Portal, please email: screening@ohf.on.ca
