 | For more than 50 years, the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association has been a leader in creating positive, values-based sport experiences for girls and women across Ontario.
WINS - Women Inspiring NextGen Success is an OWHA program designed to celebrate the lifelong impact of women’s hockey by recognizing past and present OWHA players who have carried the lessons of the game into success beyond the rink.
WINS highlights women who embody OWHA values and inspire future generations through leadership, resilience, teamwork, and integrity — proving that winning in hockey builds winners in life. |
What WINS Celebrates
WINS recognizes individuals who:
- Are past or present OWHA players at any level
- Exemplify OWHA values — Fun, Safety, Equity, Fair Play, Excellence, and Integrity
- Attribute their personal or professional success to lessons learned through hockey
Whether in sport, business, community leadership, education, or everyday life, WINS honourees represent the positive influence of women’s hockey.

Launching in Honour of Hazel McCallion Day
The WINS program proudly launches during the month of February, in honour of Hazel McCallion Day in Ontario — celebrating a trailblazer whose life exemplified leadership, integrity, service, and success rooted in sport.
