The OWHA will consider approving development and non-traditional hockey (ie 3on3 and 4on4, etc.)
Senior Programs for women over the age of 19 may also be approved.
This application must be completed and submitted for approval.
Written approval from the OWHA is required for the program to be sanctioned and covered under Hockey Canada insurance.
SUMMER HOCKEY DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES
- This application must be submitted, and written approval must be granted by the OWHA before the activities can proceed.
- A participant who is currently under suspension is not eligible to participate in these activities unless written permission has been granted from OWHA Discipline. If permission has been granted to the participant, the suspension must be served at the beginning of the hockey season.
- All on-ice officials must be currently registered with the OWHA and Hockey Canada.
- If players from outside of your association wish to participate, their home association must approve the transfer as a temporary transfer. The player cannot participate in activities until this temporary transfer has been approved.
The association is aware of the Promoting Positive Behaviour Policy and will participate in the mandatory screening process. We have received, read and agreed to comply with the OWHA Mission Statement & Values, OWHA By-Laws, Regulations, Policies, OWHA tampering regulations and OWHA Hockey Guidelines.
Reminder that written approval is required prior to extension of benefits of OWHA membership including insurance. The OWHA reserves the right to accept or deny applications for OWHA Sanctioned Hockey Programs, as well as cancel sanction, as deemed appropriate for violations of the terms of this program.
All OWHA sanctioned activities must be in compliance with all OWHA requirements including but not limited to By-Laws, Regulations, Policies and Procedures.
